Scholarly Communication is broadly defined  as the cycle of formal and informal mechanisms through which research findings are utilized in the academic community.

Issues in scholarly communications may involve the creation, copyright, review, distribution, accessibility, and archiving of published and unpublished works of scholarship. The ways that economics and technological change impact scholarly publishing are also vital elements in the discussion of scholarly communications.

This web site is designed as a resource that will provide University of Miami faculty with more information about scholarly communications.
